Small history note: apparently parade didn't happen for a couple years, but resumed in 2006

So, any memories of our parades? If so, add them to the comments. Here are a couple pictures I have from our senior year parade and Stan Day's memories.

I'm pretty sure it was Brainwash the Bulldogs (I've always been overly fond of alliteration). I naturally remember all this because the float theme (such as it was) was my idea. This was of course in 1968, a presidential election year. George Romney, running for the Republican nomination, had reversed his stance (from pro to anti) on the Vietnam War, claiming he had been "brainwashed" by U.S. officials during an earlier visit to South Vietnam. Public reaction to this was negative; voters didn't want a president who could be so easily brainwashed, and he ended up dropping out of the race. A figure with the face of George Romney was part of our homeroom's float. I'm reasonably sure this float didn't win any prizes in the parade, but we had fun building it -- in the driveway of Bill Barnett's house.

Reunion T-Shirt -- Quick Survey

We liked Dan's poster so much that we decided to put together a reunion T-shirt at the last moment incorporating a revised version of the header in that poster. However, we need to how many to order--so if you could quickly tell us if you want one and what size, click on the following link.

Click Here to take the survey

[These would only be available at the reunion, since we don't want to get in the business of taking and shipping orders -- however, if you want one and are NOT coming -- feel free to check with a friend who is going and maybe they can do this for you!]

Shirts are going to be white with the design on the front. They will sell for $6 minimum, plus an additional donation to Kewpie Scholarship fund--and the design will be something like what you see above, but without the orange background you see here.] So, please take the quick survey, link repeated below:
